Plagiarism and AI Policy

Plagiarism Prevention Policy

The Journal of Advanced Research and Innovation (JARI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using recognized similarity detection software before entering the peer-review process.

Authors must ensure that their submissions are entirely original and that all sources, quotations, data, figures, and ideas derived from the work of others are properly cited and acknowledged. Any form of plagiarism, including direct plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or unauthorized use of copyrighted material, is strictly prohibited.

As a general guideline, the overall similarity index should not exceed 15%, excluding references, bibliography, properly quoted text, and standard methodological descriptions. However, even if the similarity score is below the acceptable threshold, manuscripts containing substantial copied content from a single source may be rejected.

If plagiarism is identified at any stage of the publication process, the journal reserves the right to:

  • Reject the manuscript immediately.
  • Request revisions and resubmission.
  • Withdraw acceptance decisions.
  • Retract published articles.
  • Notify the authors’ affiliated institutions or funding agencies when deemed necessary.

Authors are solely responsible for ensuring the originality and authenticity of their work. Submission to JARI implies acceptance of this plagiarism policy and adherence to the highest ethical standards of scholarly publishing.

AI-Generated Content Policy

The Journal of Advanced Research and Innovation (JARI) acknowledges the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in research and academic writing. While AI-assisted technologies may be used responsibly for language editing, grammar correction, translation, formatting assistance, and improving readability, authors remain fully accountable for all content submitted to the journal.

Authors must disclose the use of AI tools in the manuscript wherever such tools have contributed significantly to the preparation of the work. AI systems, chatbots, or automated tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, or ethical compliance of scholarly content.

To maintain research quality and academic authenticity, manuscripts containing excessive AI-generated text may not be considered for publication. As a general guideline, the AI-generated content score should be below 20% based on the journal's approved AI-detection tools. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the discretion of the editorial board.

The following practices are strictly prohibited:

  • Generating research data, results, or findings using AI without disclosure.
  • Using AI to create fabricated references or citations.
  • Submitting AI-generated content as original scholarly work.
  • Using AI tools to manipulate, falsify, or misrepresent research outcomes.

The journal reserves the right to conduct AI-content screening at any stage of the review and publication process. Authors remain fully responsible for verifying all facts, references, interpretations, and conclusions contained in their manuscripts. Any misuse of AI tools that compromises research integrity may result in rejection, retraction, or other appropriate corrective actions.
